English Heritage is seeking a Principal Contractor for the repair and conservation works to The Iron Bridge, which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, located in the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, in Shropshire.
The works comprise specialist ironwork repairs to the bridge structure, masonry repairs to the abutments and piers, complete redecoration and re-laying the road surface.
In addition, the works will require complex scaffolding and temporary works over the River Severn.
