NHS North Lincolnshire CCG Non-Emergency Patient Transportation Service
NHS North Lincolnshire CCG (The Authority) are seeking a provider of Non-Emergency Patient Transportation Service for North Lincolnshire patients.
The contract will be let for a period of three years, with an optional extension up to 2 years, in two lots of 12 months (3+1+1).
The contract end date and contract value represent the full five years of the opportunity.
The Authority seeks the provision of a flexible, high quality patient focused service which is safe, clinically effective and represents best value.
Specifically the local outcomes include: - Patients will arrive and depart safely and in a timely manner; - There will be no detriment to the patient's health and wellbeing during their journey; - Provide a patient focused booking system; - Apply the eligibility criteria and local NEPTS decision making tool (Appendix B) in a consistent and equitable manner; - Provide high quality information to patients enquiring about NEPTS and signposting those who are not eligible to appropriate local alternatives; - Provide an integrated NEPTS which supports: Planned and frequent journeys for Priority Patients; Discharge from hospital; Short notice urgent journeys; Planned routine journeys. - Provide high quality patient experience and satisfaction; - High level of satisfaction within primary and acute care providers - The Provider must take action to reduce carbon emissions and the carbon footprint of the journeys where possible.
In addition to the specified services, the Authority reserves the right to increase service delivery during the term of the contract by incorporating Inter-hospital transfers within the North Lincolnshire and Goole Foundation Trust Sites - Goole, Scunthorpe and Grimsby Hospitals.
This additional service provision is not guaranteed during the term of the contract but may be a required contract variation during the term and potential providers would be expected to deliver this service should the increased service delivery be required.
