Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew
Concept design of Carbon Garden pavilion
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for Printed Matter & Publishing contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 2,467 valued Printed Matter & Publishing tenders in our corpus.
To produce drawings of a concept design for a 'Climate Change Pavilion' sitting within the proposed Carbon Garden at Kew that educates visitors about the fundamental systems that regulate our climate whilst explaining how these systems are now being destabilised and threatened by human behaviour.
The Pavilion's architecture and morphology will be rooted in the biomimicry of the carbon cycle, predominantly crafted out of FSC Timber (embodied carbon) and sensitively balanced on site.
Drawings will be used for the planning application for the Carbon Garden so nothing beyond RIBA stage 3 is required.
This is for procurement of concept design and detail drawings only.
