3166_15 Public Health: Oral Health Promotion and Dental Epidemiology Survey
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Health & Social Care band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
In this present instance, ESPO is undertaking a procurement process to identify and appoint a single service provider for an Oral Health Promotion Service for Leicestershire County Council, and a Dental Epidemiology Fieldwork Survey Service for Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council and Rutland County Council.
Whilst a single provider will be appointed for the whole requirement, each authority will put in place their own contracts with the successful Tenderer.
The aim of the service is to provide Epidemiology data to inform oral health programmes and NHS dental services and to reduce inequalities in and generally improve oral health for the populations of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Survey requirements will comply with the Public Health England Dental Public Health Intelligence Programme (DPHIP) and any oral health surveys conducted or commissioned by the Secretary of State.
The combined fixed value of the contracts (including all geographical areas) is £142,160 per annum, which is a total value of £426,480 over 3 years.
In addition to this, there is a variable amount set aside for ad hoc surveys in Leicestershire and Rutland, taking the maximum possible value to £468,480 over 3 years.
This breaks down as follows: Dental Epidemiology Fieldwork Survey Service £75,525 p.a. (including additional sampling in Leicester City) Oral Health Promotion Service £66,635 p.a.
Maximum possible additional sampling funding (actual TBA) Max £14,000 p.a (For Leicestershire County and Rutland) The contract has the option to extend for up to a further 12 months.
The total estimated values stated include the option period.
