2024 - 2027 ENSONIFICATION SURVEYS
Dover Harbour Board undertakes annual ensonification surveys of the Port's maritime assets (quay walls, piers, pontoons, breakwaters, etc) on a 6-yearly rotation per asset to create 3D composite models of the maritime infrastructure which are utilised to inform targeted inspections and maintenance regimes.
By way of combining available market technologies: multibeam echosounders (MBES) and terrestrial laser scanners (LiDAR, for Light Detection and Ranging), the successful applicant will be required to survey the scoped maritime assets and the adjacent seabed (up to 20m from the assets) over a 4-year period.
A full bathymetric survey of the Port of Dover harbour will also be required each year.
