This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This is a large award for Transport Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 20,160 valued Transport Services tenders in our corpus.
In 2019 NATO is celebrating its 70th Anniversary with a range of events throughout the year, culminating in a meeting in London of NATO Heads of State and Government in December.
As a founding member and NATO's leading European Ally, our membership of the Alliance remains the cornerstone of the UK's defence and security policy.
NATO's first headquarters was in London and it is fitting to celebrate the anniversary with a meeting there too.
The meeting will bring together 30 Heads of State and Government to address pressing issues facing NATO and to reaffirm Allies' resolve to face these challenges together.
As well as serving to commemorate the 70th anniversary, this meeting will look to the future of NATO: reinforcing transatlantic ties on the basis of fair burden sharing, cooperation on key security challenges, and ongoing modernisation to secure Allies against emerging and future threats.
This will be a high profile event at which up to 30 Heads of State or Government are expected to attend.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office - FCO (The Authority) is seeking an experienced ground transport services contractor to facilitate the movement of VIPs, delegates, media and staff during the 2019 Leaders Meeting.
The requirement is to ensure that all involved are transported in a safe, secure, convenient and timely manner throughout the day of the Summit/Meeting itself and the preparation period before hand.
The operations will also include transport to and from multiple airports.
