The brief

Early Engagement Notice The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) are issuing an early engagement notice to notify experienced works contractors of the forthcoming project at the British Embassy Washington DC, USA.

The project will be to transform a previous office building within the British Embassy buildings in Washington DC into new apartments as well as building a small additional consular annex.

This involves completing adjusting the layout and fit-out of an existing building as well as providing new services within the building.

The consular works include a new ground up extension to an existing gatehouse within the compound.

The building contract works will comprise the strip out and conversion of an existing office building into six residential apartments.

The building was constructed in the late 1920's and its original use was as a residence.

Consular services are currently accommodated on the ground floor of the property and the construction works also include a single storey new build extension to one of the Compound gatehouses to allow the Consular function to be relocated.

It is necessary to move the Consular office prior to commencement of the conversion work.

To attend this event, please email christine.leach@macegroup.com by 5pm EST on 9th August 2017.
