Listed Buildings Occupiers Survey 2019
This sits in the lower-middle of the Business Services band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 57,319 valued Business Services tenders in our corpus.
Historic England wishes to commission a survey of businesses occupying listed properties.
This is the fourth in a series of surveys about the contemporary ownership and use of listed buildings, but will be the first to focus on crime.
The survey is extremely important to Historic England and the heritage sector as it provides insights into the extent and the scale of listed buildings at risk due to criminal activity.
Through the survey we hope to understand the magnitude, frequency, patterns and economic impact of crime and anti-social behavior in relation to the historic environment-heritage crime- with a particular focus in listed buildings with commercial use.
We also hope to have a better understanding of the associated risks that increase the chances that businesses are affected by heritage crime and how Historic England and partnership agencies can develop effective preventative and enforcement measures that will ensure these buildings are preserved for the enjoyment of future generations.
The research is being carried out through a partnership with the Ecclesiastical Insurance group, as in previous years.
