The Council is preparing a new Local Plan for Charnwood for the period to 2036, and as part of this is seeking to have a positive strategy for the provision of Houses in Multiple Occupation within the Borough.
The purpose of the Study is to assess the current pattern of HMO concentration in the Borough, assess the positive and negative impacts HMOs have on a community and review the effectiveness of the current policy approach to managing the proportion of HMOs.
This will include analysis of existing quantitative evidence available as well as the collection of qualitative evidence which will be sought through site visits and stakeholder engagement with HMO providers, users, residents and agencies.
