Network Rail are seeking for Potential Suppliers to engage in pre-market activity related to the operation of service for unloading and loading of used and new ballast, and unloading and loading of sleepers as required within the Aggregate Handling Depot (AHD) / Manual Handling Depot (MHD) and contracted out sites.

Network Rail receive a vast amount of new and used ballast and sleepers from all parts of our infrastructure, we are seeking the views of suppliers covering the national geographical landscape to assist mobilise operatives, plant and ancillary equipment.

Services will include the hire of labour, hire of plant, and hire of other site requirements such as cabins, oil stores, water tanks, temporary fencing and tower lights.

Please note the deadline for Supplier submission of the Soft Market Questionnaire is Tuesday 13th April 2021 17:00 This is not an invitation to tender, it is solely a market engagement exercise and no direct business will be awarded as a result of participating in this exercise.

Further responding to this PIN will not in any way advantage or disadvantage any supplier in a future procurement exercise.

Following the market engagement exercise, network rail will not be bound to conduct a procurement exercise or to award any contract, and where it commences a tender exercise reserves the right to cancel the tendering process at any time.
