The brief

This work package is primarily centred on renewal of the mechanical heating, cooling and ventilation services, located above ceiling level throughout Lancaster University's Conference Centre building, which dates to c.1989.

LCC is one of a number of dedicated conferencing facilities on the campus and is located off Green Lane.

The building is annexed to the Lancaster House Hotel (not part of Lancaster University), but remains separate in all aspects, including services.

The University envisages and expects the appointed Contractor to be a specialist in this field, and or be able to demonstrate considerable experience in undertaking this type of work.

As additional components of this works package, the appointed Contractor will be expected to manage and deliver the replacement of all suspended ceilings and all internal lighting, plus the full decoration of all internal surfaces and the planned replacement of all floor coverings.

The demonstration of successfully programming these works into a tight schedule will be key to Contractor appointment.

Careful consideration should be given to planning and phasing these works to achieve handover on the expected date.
