SCDC collected just over 3,900 tonnes of Recovered Paper during 2014/15, or, on average around 330 tonnes per month in this year.
These quantities are provided for information only and are not to be relied upon by the Bidder as any guarantee of future tonnages.
In September 2015 SCDC and Cambridge City Council will join their waste management services.
Subject to the terms and conditions of any other contract, Cambridge City shall have the option under this contract to deliver quantities of Recovered Paper, collected from households, as per current collection scheme arrangements, from the Cambridge North West development.
This phased development is currently estimated at 100 homes occupied by Oct-Mar 2015/16, 750 by Apr-Sep 2016, 950 by Oct-Mar 2016/17 and 1,100 by Apr-Sep 2017.
All Recovered Paper collected will be tipped along with all other Recovered Paper at the Waterbeach Bulking Facility for collection.
The Contractor shall make provision for reasonable changes in quantity of Recovered Paper over the Contract Period as a result of any changes to consumer behaviour, seasonal changes, population and housing growth.
The Contractor must ensure that all Recovered Paper is handled, transported and stored in a way that ensures the value and integrity of the material is preserved at all times.
The Contractor must hold and maintain and operate in accordance with all necessary permits, authorisations and permissions required and operate in accordance with all relevant legislation and Good Industry Practice.
The Contractor shall accommodate inspection requests (plant, equipment and/or information regarding performance) when requested by SCDC, with SCDC giving reasonable notice to the Contractor.
The Contractor shall be present at all such inspections and cooperate fully with SCDC.
