Engagement Event Low Vision Review 16th September 2024 3.00pm - 4.00pm 4.15pm - 5.30pm Louise Gow from RNIB Location - Hybrid - Online and at Norwich Union House High Street Huddersfield Huddersfield HD1 2LR Second Floor Boardroom The Council of the Borough of Kirklees working alongside the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Commissioning Board (ICB) are hosting an event for organisations who deliver a variety of low vision requirement and may be interested in helping to develop the review of low vision: A Kirklees Solution.

The areas in scope for review are:- • Rehabilitation • Assessment • Access to retail • Peer to peer support • Advice information and guidance Key considerations will include:- • Increasing capacity for rehab and assessment • Improving access to retail • Accessibility - one-stop-shop geography/reaching hard to reach • Growing peer-to-peer vision • Advice information guidance and support, starting before assessment and diagnosis and continuing throughout a person's low vision pathway • Quality including training and qualifications • Sustainability of provision • Meeting demand • National context - reduced public spending If your organisation is interested in this engagement event please email james.addy@nhs.net of the name of any attendees so details can be forwarded to you in advance of the meeting.

Deadline for booking places in person is 17:00 hours on 11th September 2024 Please note a maximum of two attendees per organisation can attend.
