Catering services are currently provided in house.
This process is required to: • An open, collaborate partnership between the schools and the provider. • Meals served to pupils are appealing, nutritious, well-cooked and culturally appropriate. • Meals are value for money for the school. • Meals are prepared by a motivated, valued and well trained workforce. • Catering staff are paid the national Living Wage • Schools, pupils and parents are regularly consulted on the menu and service. • Increase school meal uptake. • Food waste is kept to a minimum. • Special diets and allergies are well catered for. • School food quality monitoring is adequate, including reporting to the principal and trust central team. • Achieve a more consistent and sustainable approach to Catering across the Multi Academy Company. • Address the challenge of differing Contractors and end dates seeking one Contractor with co-terminus date for this contract • Ensure a consistently high level of service across all schools • Ensure there is a uniform pricing model
