Entry to Construction Advert The London Borough of Newham is seeking to procure a Contactor(s) to deliver “Entry to Construction Training” to prepare residents to secure entry level jobs in the construction industry.

Training will be for 10 students over a 5 week (4 consecutive days per week) period.

The courses will prepare candidates with the right attitudes, behaviours and knowledge to secure entry level roles on major construction sites with the London Borough of Newham.

It will also to lead to Level 1 Award in Construction Skills (6219-04) Course frequency is expected to be 8 – 10 courses per year.

However, there is no minimum guarantee of numbers of courses required in any one year as courses will be required in response to employer demand.

Please note the following Mandatory requirement The training facility must be located within a 2 mile radius of the London Borough of Newham, Workplace Office, E20 1EJ.

This will be a Framework Agreement.

This Framework Agreement does not guarantee the Contract(s) of any volume or value.

The Council is using an e-procurement platform ‘capitalEsourcing’ to manage this Procurement and to communicate with Tenderers.

No hard copy documents will be issued and all communications with the Council (including the submission of Tenders) will be conducted via the e-procurement platform capitalEsourcing.

To ensure all communications relating to this Procurement are received the Tenderer must ensure that the point of contact it nominates in the e-procurement platform capitalEsourcing is accurate at all times as the Authority will not be under any obligation to contact any other point of contact.
