This Community Outpatients Service and Minor Procedures covers the delivery of outpatient activity for all patients registered with an East Staffordshire GP practice only, covering Uttoxeter and Burton-on-Trent patients.
The aim of the service will be to: • To deliver consultant led outpatient services in a primary care location, including minor procedures in a limited number of specialities (listed below). • To deliver high quality, value for money Outpatient Services in accordance with NICE guidance in respect of clinical services and in addition, good industry practice in respect of Services other than clinical services. • To maintain capacity that supports the commissioned activity of The Commissioner, thus ensuring delivery of the agreed referral to treatment times. • To maintain access to a range of Outpatient Services thereby improving NHS Patients Free choice of Provider and control over their care and treatment. • To provide the NHS Patient with the choice of named consultant-led team for elective care where clinically appropriate, in line with the NHS Constitution. • Provide a consultant led outpatient services in a primary care location, including minor procedures in a limited number of specialities. • To maintain capacity which supports secondary care commissioned activity. • Deliver a high-quality service in accordance with the service specification.
Specialities to be provided are: a.
Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) b.
General Surgery c.
Orthopaedics - upper limb, hand/wrist, lower limb, foot, ankle, and shoulder. d.
Urology Finance: The values stated within this notice are estimated and may be subject to change.
Contract Period: The initial contract will be for 2 years with the option of an extension up to 12-months.
The CCG is looking for providers that are confident that they could commence services on 1st April 2022.
