The brief

Hertfordshire County Council is currently out to procurement for the Provision of Extra Care Services Extra Care offers people the opportunity to live in the privacy of their own flat with access to on-site care provision.

Depending on the needs of the current residents, care may be delivered through 24 hour on-site support to include sleep-in night arrangements, on-site care 7am-10pm with an out of hours service supporting outside these hours, on-site hours during specific periods during the day with an out of hours service supporting outside these periods.

This will be subject to review to meet the changing needs of residents and the Service Provider will need to be flexible across the care models.

In providing the Services the Service Provider is required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and to maintain that registration throughout the Contract Period.

The service will be tendered as 9 individual LOT areas as follows: Lot number Lot Title Lot 1 Emmanuel Lodge & Wormley Court, Broxbourne Lot 2 Evelyn Sharp House, Dacorum Lot 3 Bircherley Court & Calton Court, East Hertfordshire Lot 4 Parkside, East Hertfordshire Lot 5 Silkin Court, Stevenage Lot 6 Fred Millard Court, Stevenage Lot 7 Dale Court & Rutland Lodge, Watford Lot 8 Chilton Green & Woodside House, Welwyn Hatfield Lot 9 Swanfield Court, Welwyn Hatfield Please ensure you fully complete and submit a Response Document for each Lot you intend to bid for.

This procurement is an open process.

Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to 'express an interest' and also 'opt in' which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system.
