The Black Country Blue Network 2 project will build on the achievements of Phase 1 and undertake habitat improvement works to improve the biodiversity and conservation status of 114.914 hectares of green space and rehabilitate 4.12 hectares across the Black Country linked by the canal and river network (blue network).The proposed works are intended to achieve these objectives and are financed by the Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
There are 3 sub-projects in Wolverhampton as noted below along with a summary of the deliverables and these constitute THREE SEPERATE CONTRACTS TO BE AWARDED: Lot 1 - Ward Street - Groundworks associated with woodland management, meadow creation and hard landscaping, Lot 2 - Pendeford Park Open Spaces - Groundworks associated with woodland management, meadow creation, tree planting.
Lot 3 - Fowlers Park - Groundworks associated with woodland management, meadow creation, aquatic management and hard landscaping,
