The brief

Supply of Prone Transfer Systems UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) invites Bidders to compete for the supply of Prone Transfer Systems and accessories in accordance with the schedules within this quotation document.

Bidders shall submit prices for systems capable of effectively proning patients whilst reducing the risk of injury to patients and staff.

The term of the contract shall be 24 months, commencing on the 1st February 2018.

To source disposable or reusable equipment to assist with the transfer of patients in the prone position, which meet the needs of the clinical team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and mitigates against the risk of injury to staff currently performing manual transfer/handling of patients.

The objective is primarily to protect against the risk of injury to staff caused by the currently practised manual 'catch and drop' technique.
