The brief

Rutland County Council is looking to procure a sector support service for Rutland's Voluntary and Community Sector.

An effective sector support mechanism will enable all organisations to become more stable and sustainable, whatever their level of development or experience.

A robust and self-generating support offer will help VCS organisations to deliver local support services effectively and to bring additional funding into the county.

Informal mutual support networks also have the potential to develop and grow, particularly following increased activity during the Pandemic.

Rutland County Council wishes to work collaboratively to design and develop a responsive, flexible countywide VCS Sector Support service.

The sector support service will provide structural support, especially for smaller community organisations & groups, including, but not limited to policy development, personnel & team issues, funding opportunities, governance, and best practice.
