The brief

The Isle of Wight Council ("The Authority") are seeking to deliver a Community Occupational Therapy Service that will provide specialist support for local people to achieve their identified outcomes in line with the Care Act 2014, the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 and Childrens and Families Act 2014 principles.

The Community Occupational Therapy Service will deliver a high-quality outcome-focussed service supporting people to achieve their identified outcomes.\r \r The Community Occupational Therapy Service will:\r • Support local people live independent, safe and healthy lives in a place they call home where they feel safe and part of their community.\r • Help people to live fulfilling lives regardless of age, disability, status and social background.\r • Facilitate and enable people to overcome any barriers that prevent them from doing the activities (occupations) that matter to them.\r • Support people to increase their independence.\r • Support carers to maintain their caring role and achieve choice and control in their life outside of caring.
