The brief

Introduction - This is formal request for quotation with information, instructions and guidance following consideration of which the proposal submission should be completed and returned by all Suppliers who wish to quote for the contract.

Note, throughout the Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation the University of Nottingham will be referred to as the UoN.

Synopsis & Brief - The Human Performance Lab at the University of Nottingham requires a new optical, camera-based motion capture system to assist with teaching activities, academic research, and student projects.

The system would predominantly be for marker-based motion capture, used in tandem with our other lab equipment such as electromyography and force plate technology.

The proposed system must be adaptable to bespoke spaces.

Activities will vary between gait, closed loop activities and sports-style movements such as changes in direction or forward jumps.

Objectives - To secure value for money goods and services for the UoN Estimated Value - The estimated value is between £40,000-50,000 (inc.

VAT, installation, and any import or duty) Contract/Framework duration - The Contract will be established for an initial provision of equipment, installation, essential training and a minimum 12-month warranty period with option to extend for additional years for technical support and maintenance services on an ongoing basis.
