NHS ARDEN AND GREATER EAST MIDLANDS
Mental Health Recovery and Employment Service (Birmingham) - Market Engagement
NHS Birmingham CrossCity CCG, NHS Birmingham South Central CCG and NHS Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG intend to commission a combined mental health recovery and employment service which will be provided as an integrated service to enable services to work in a coordinated fashion. (3 year contract) The service will encompass: (A) A full fidelity Individual Placement Support Service to be integrated into the community mental health services within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust (BSMHFT) and the Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) hubs partly based on a payment by outcomes contracting mechanism. (B) A recovery service that will be aligned to the four newly created integrated community mental health services in Birmingham for adults over 25 (BSMHFT) and the FTB community hubs.
The service will offer a 1:1 recovery support planning to include a Personal Health Budget 'brokerage' function and recovery focused activities based on a Recovery College model and supports the development of peer-led support networks and groups.
The CCGs are holding a market event to engage with providers in order to fully develop their commissioning strategy, specification and outcome measures in relation to Mental Health Employment and Recovery Services.
The Market event will be at the Saffron Centre, Birmingham on 13th December 2016.
Following this event providers can attend 1:1 sessions between the commissioner and potential providers which is hoped will enable the CCG to obtain detailed feedback on the requirements.
Feedback will help the commissioner finalise the specification and other elements of the service/contract.
Documents relating to the service and further details of the market engagement (including, start time, purpose and scope) can be obtained through registering on the Bravo eProcurement portal.
Providers will need to register to attend the engagement event (and 1:1s) via the Bravo portal.
