The brief

Bournemouth Borough Council is seeking a specialist agency to implement and deliver a number of new income-earning advertising opportunities.

Following a Feasibility Study, the Council has developed a strategic vision for generating revenue from advertising which involves improving returns from its existing advertising portfolio and from developing a number of new small and large format digital outdoor and ambient advertising opportunities.

The Agency appointed to undertake this work will be required to refine the list of potential opportunities identified and carry out all preparatory works required to bring a concession of packaged large and small format outdoor sites to the open market on a competitive basis.

The appointed Agency will be expected to manage the process and take the lead on all research, development, negotiation and industry specific work.

The Council would provide guidance and parameters in relation to the aims, objectives and aspirations of the programme.

The length of the contract will be for two years with the option to extend the contract annually for a further year.

Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for three years.
