This sits below the typical range for Engineering & Architecture contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 33,646 valued Engineering & Architecture tenders in our corpus.
Quantity Surveying services are required to assist the Built Assets Team in delivering a new community facility on the Whitehouse development in the Western Expansion area of Milton Keynes.
The community meeting place has been designed to RIBA Stage 4 with planning approval.
The construction contract will be tendered to the open market via MKC's tendering portal with the assistance of the procurement team.
All associated external works including parking are included as part of the schemes.
The QS role will be expected to join the existing project team and pick up the project at its current stage (end of RIBA Stage 4) and prepare the relevant tender documents, evaluate the returns and undertake QS duties in relation to preparation and administration of the contract and works on site, through to completion at RIBA stage 7.
Duties will be as specified in the Scope of Service document published with the Mini Competition.
The appointed QS is expected to be able to start work on this straight away in January 2022 with the first key task being to undertake a tender cost estimate on the design.
This project will be tendered on the open market via the Council's Intend system for a four week period and construction on site is estimated at 16-20 weeks.
To support the delivery of this scheme, the full suite of QS services is required from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion.
Architectural Services, CDM Client Advisor services and Clerk of Works will also be commissioned separately.
