The brief

The London Borough of Newham wishes to commission a suitably qualified provider to deliver a Child Death Review (CDR) Family Liaison Service to support the new Waltham Forest, East London (Newham and Tower Hamlets) and City & Hackney (WELC) Child Death Review (CDR) System.

In summary the requirement is for a Family Liaison service which will form part of the new WELC CDR System Hub team.

From 1 February 2020 the Hub team will co-ordinate the WELC CDR System.

The Family liaison service will have the specific remit of keeping bereaved families informed of the progress of the review of their child's case, facilitating the 'voice of the family' in the CDR process and sign-posting bereaved families/ individuals to appropriate local bereavement support.

The pre-bid meeting/ early engagement is scheduled for 10am to 12pm on Tuesday 3rd December 2019; at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London, E16 2QU.

Christine Christie, the Independent Consultant who is assisting with implementation of the WELC CDR System, will be facilitating the pre-bid meeting.
