Empty Property Refurbishment

Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) is seeking to appoint three contractors to provide a range of refurbishment works to empty properties between lettings in North East Derbyshire.

Bidders will deliver properties to the RHL Lettable Standard and associated specifications.

We expect our chosen contractors to operate with the same exacting ethos.

Works will be structured on a call-off basis.

The contracts are two years in length with potential for a further one year extension.

Each contractor will work in one of three defined geographical parts of the District (North, Central or South).

Three contractors will be appointed to complement RHL's inhouse Direct Labour Force to ensure sufficient capacity and flexibility to commence works quickly following each allocation of an empty property.

Bidders will be appointed to one contract only.

Due to the unpredictable nature of terminating tenancies there will be fluctuations in demand for the works required, therefore, it is only possible to provide estimated numbers of void/empty properties based on previous years.

In each lot area this has fluctuated between 80 and 120 empty properties per annum.
