Gloucester City Council (the Commissioner/the Authority), acting as lead partner on behalf of the six District Councils in Gloucestershire, is commissioning this Places of Safety service (the Service(s)/Places of Safety) to ensure that those who need to escape from domestic abuse are given as much support and assistance as possible to re-build their lives away from abuse and harm.
Places of Safety offers an alternative model to refuge accommodation, and is accessible to all.
One contract will be entered into with the Authority.
It should be noted that funding is available for the initial period of three years.
Although there is an option to extend the contract this is dependent upon Government funding, which at this stage is not guaranteed.
