Independent Advocacy Service for Children and Young People
Cumbria County Council are procuring an Independent Advocacy Service for Children and Young People.
This contract also requires the successful provider to carry out Regulation 44 Visits to Children's Homes and provide reports.
Advocacy; Cumbria County Council has the responsibility as a corporate parent to provide a high quality Children and Young People's Advocacy Service, that is independent of the Council and available to children looked after, care leavers, children in need, children subject to a child protection plan and privately fostered children.
The aim of this service is to meet this responsibility for children and young people from Cumbria, in accordance with the National Standards and the requirements within this specification.
Children Homes Regulation 44 Visits; Cumbria County Council has the responsibility to ensure that its children's homes provide high quality care and accommodation to children looked after.
Children's residential homes are subject to Ofsted requirements, Quality Care Standards and Statutory Regulations.
The aim of this service is for the provider to undertake Regulation 44 Visits to each of the Council's Children's Homes on behalf of the Council, in line with statutory requirements and guidance.
