Contingency Contract for Residual Waste Treatment and / or Disposal

The Council wishes to establish a multi-provider Contract for the provision of a Contingency Contract for Residual Waste Treatment and / or Disposal.
The Council is managing this procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations.
This is a services Contract being procured under the Open procedure with two LOTs.
The Council has a contract with its West of England partner authorities for the majority of its residual waste.
However, contingency treatment facilities are required for disposal of residual waste above our permitted existing contractual limits.
The Council is procuring the Contract(s) as a central purchasing body for itself.
It may be award more than one contract within in each LOT where it makes economic sense to do so under this tender exercise.
LOT 1 is for kerbside residual waste and LOT 2 is for bulky residual waste.
There will be no guarantee of tonnages as part of the awarded contingency contract(s).
Indicative forecasting will however be available to assist with planning throughout the term.
