The brief

This Notice refers to PIN OJEU Ref 2015/S 213-389103 published by the Department of Health ("DH") and NHS Business Services Authority ("NHSBSA") in the Official Journal of the European Union on 30th October 2015, and the subsequent Contracts Finder Market Engagement Notice published on 6th April 2016, inviting the market to attend the first (of four) Market Engagement Events on Thursday 21st April 2016, where the proposed Future Operating Model (FOM) Service Integration and Management (SIAM) and Service Tower Model was presented to the market by the FOM Supporting Technology & Infrastructure Work Stream Leads.

Following the recent internal review and approval of the FOM - Programme Business Case ("PBC"), where a number of options were considered, the Programme is now proposing to change the Future Operating Model for Supporting Technology and Infrastructure from a SIAM/Tower Service Model approach to a Prime Contractor Model.

The Prime Contractor will provide the service integration and management capability together with Hosting, Networks, Applications, Desktop and Training Services.

In addition, the Prime Contractor will also deliver the Transformation Programme as previously outlined by The Supporting Technologies Team.

The Programme would therefore like to re-engage the market and is seeking fresh expressions of interest in writing by 17:00hrs on 28th October 2016 via email to supportingtechnologies@dh.gsi.gov.uk.
