The brief

Brent Council warmly invites your organisation to an online workshop taking place on Thursday 17th February 2022, 10am - 12noon to discuss the delivery of an innovative Youth Hub and Café pilot on Church Road, Church End.

The vision This initiative seeks to address the three key challenges that the area faces: i) Deprivation ii) Poor community cohesion iii) Young people feeling unsupported and undervalued The Youth Hub and Café pilot aims to create a safe space within the locality, which feels truly owned and operated by young people.

It will offer them agency, responsibility and routes into employment as well as giving them a stake (and a lively shop front presence) on the high street.

The Youth Hub and Café will provide space for music, podcast, film production, IT and web training as well as 121 career advice rooms alongside a café run and managed by young people, providing a fresh new and much welcomed taste to the area.

It will also host events, galleries and exhibitions in the bid to celebrate the local area and its community.

The event This workshop will be in the form of a consultation to hear your views and ideas with regards to the operational delivery of this programme.

We would love to hear from you to help shape our process.

If you would like to attend, please reply back to myself - Grace Nelson at grace.Nelson2@brent.gov.uk by Monday 14th February 2022, 5pm with the name and email address of the attendees and your organisation name so that you can be invited to the event.
