The Fenland and East Cambridgeshire Opportunity Area is seeking a provider to offer training in Speech, Language and Communication for 30 early years practitioners in Fenland and East Cambridgeshire.
1.2.
The successful provider will offer a flexible training programme, which could include face to face, online or blended training to support the continued professional development of Level Three Early Years practitioners in Fenland and East Cambridgeshire who currently work with children and young people, by boosting the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support all children's speech, language and communication development through early identification, intervention and effective engagement of parents and carers as partners in children's learning.
1.3.
The training will be offered on a call-off basis, with early years settings able to decide to sign up for the training.
1.4.
The successful provider will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of child development with a key focus on children's language development.
They must also be able to provide evidence of their accomplishments as a training provider and ideally be CACHE affiliated.
1.5.
The successful provider will be required to advertise the training to early years settings and recruit early years practitioners to this training.
1.6.
The successful provider must ensure that the training will be based within Fenland and East Cambridgeshire, and will need to be flexible with the location and time of delivery to ensure that it is accessible to the staff who require it.
1.7.
Upon completion of the training, the successful provider will submit a summary report to the Opportunity Area team.
