The brief

The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a framework agreement (Framework) for the delivery of its drainage services (the Works) The Framework arrangement will consist of an initial term (period) of 2 years, with 2 further option(s) to extend up to 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Authority.

The following Framework Contract will ensure availability of skilled Contractors to deliver the Programmed services requiring differing values and complexities as required.

The Authority will require the Successful Framework Contractors to be acting the capacity of Subcontractor.

It is anticipated to have a maximum of 3 Contractors on the Framework.

It is intended that there will be 2 lots on the Framework: Housing Works (Lot 1) and Commercial Buildings Works (Lot 2).

The Contractor providing best value, ranked number 1, from the initial tender results, will be awarded the Works for the first twenty-four months of the Framework.

The main activities include: Lot 1 • Lead water pipe renewal • CCTV Surveys • Drain cleaning/jet washing • Drain relining, including all necessary associated works.

Lot 2 • Unblocking drains • CCTV surveys • Septic tank disposal The successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.
