Further Competition for Red Oak Court Supported Living Services under Lot 9 and Lot 10
This is a large award for Health & Social Care — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
This Further Competition has been conducted under Lot 9 and Lot 10 as part of the Dorset Care, Support, Housing and Community Safety Framework.
Red Oak Court comprises 14 single, relocatable accommodation units in Wareham, Dorset.
We have awarded to one successful bidder to meet the needs of all vulnerable people currently living at the Red Oak site.
The successful provider needs to be in place for the end of July 2025.
There was need to remodel how the support is delivered that aligns with current cost saving strategies, and the Working Age Adults Commissioning Strategy published February 2023.
This service will predominantly support vulnerable working age adults with learning disabilities, mental health and/or autism; some may also have physical needs.
Key to this service is the ability to encourage individuals to develop their own skills and interests and become part of the local community.
In order to achieve best value, and the best outcomes, the Council was looking for the supplier to utilise community resources as far as possible; further to this, assistive technology will be embedded in the service delivery, offering people blended support that maximises their independence, so they are less reliant on 'traditional' services.
