This exercise is to inform the forthcoming tender opportunity for the landside port construction contract at Leigh Port, Leigh-on-Sea, Southend to seek to identify potential contractors who can provide the required construction works in terms of suitable experience and who have the capacity to undertake the works from Summer 2024 with a potential completion date of the end of March 2025.

How Can your Organisation Get Involved?

The Council wants to ensure that any procurement and contract award relating to the provision of these construction services is done so with as much consideration to market research as possible.

The Council views this as a critical factor in delivering its aspirations in an informed manner and for ensuring the construction project achieves value for public money within the required timeframe.

The dual purpose of this document is to seek engagement with potential contractors that have experience in Civil works and availability to work from Summer 2024 with a potential completion date of the end of March 2025.

Potential Contractors are therefore invited to complete the Market Engagement Questionnaire - Leigh Port which is available on the Council's e-tendering portal https://procontract.due-north.com
