The brief

The existing contracts are due to expire on 14th July 2016.

In order to maintain the existing service provided the five Authorities are looking to collectively procure new service contracts for the duration of 3 years, with a possible extension for up to a further two x 1 year options, dependant upon the performance of the provider.

The Authorities have a requirement for Winter Service Bureau and Weather Forecasting Services.

It is anticipated that not every applicant will be able to provide all service requirements individually.

Applicants will be afforded the opportunity to identify which elements they would provide themselves and which they would seek to provide with the assistance of another provider.

As such, multiple bids will be allowed to ensure the best value for money outcome is available to the authorities.

Furthermore, the authorities will make a collective decision so that the same successful combination of bids will be accepted by all five authorities. ?
