Electricity & Gas Supply

The BBC is seeking to establish Flexible Contracts for: 1) Supply of Electricity to Half Hourly and Non Half Hourly reporting sites. • Annual consumption is c 170,000,000 kWhs • c.80 Half Hourly (including c.

23 with 05-08 profiled meters) and c.60 Non Half Hourly sites • The BBC has a preference for power that is from a REGO certified auditable renewable supply source.

The BBC will require pricing for both REGO certified and non REGO certified supply. • Bids will be required on a four rate seasonal time of day (STOD) basis.

The BBC will also consider alternative seasonal time of day structures. • a consolidated and compliant billing solution • the BBC will make payment by BACS or CHAPS, 28 days after date of invoice on a monthly basis • the BBC requires the provision of electronic copy bills for its service provider • the BBC requires the provision of day+1 consumption data for its service provider (HH only) • the BBC requires details of data collection costs and a separate proposal for a dedicated data collection service (HH only).

Initial contract term will be 3 years from April 2017.

Please note: The estimated spend on Electricity for the 36 month core period is £48M - £60M, and for the possible extension period the spend is £32M - £40M.

2) Supply of Gas • Annual consumption is c 93,000,000 kWhs • c.84 sites • a consolidated and compliant billing solution • the BBC will make payment by BACS or CHAPS, 28 days after date of invoice on a monthly basis. • the BBC requires the provision of electronic copy bills for its service provider • the BBC requires the provision of day+1 consumption data for its service provider • AMR Solution for Gas Meters Initial contract term will be 2 years from April 2018.

Please note: The estimated spend on Gas for the 24 month core term is £5M-£10M, and estimated spend for the possible extension period is £5M-£10M.

The estimated value range shown in Section II.2.1 is the combined totals of estimated Electricity and Gas for both the core term and possible extensions.
