The Attorney General is seeking to appoint new members to his panel of Junior Counsel in the Regions to undertake civil advocacy work outside London and the south east for all government departments.
Membership of the panel is open to both barristers and solicitors.
Barristers must have a tenancy.
Solicitors must have a higher court advocacy qualification.
In addition applicants must have over two years’ experience in actual practice (starting from end of second six months’ pupillage for barristers, end of training contracts for solicitors).
Appointment will be for five years.
