NHS Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group (the “Contracting Authority”) is offering a contract to the successful Bidder to provide a community based Ophthalmology Service.
The Consultant-Led Community Ophthalmology Service (“Service”) will provide a viable alternative to hospital outpatient ophthalmology care.
The Service will offer improved quality of care and access for patients, in line with the latest London strategic Direction .
Waiting times will be less than four weeks for routine care and within two weeks for urgent referrals for ophthalmology.
Full details of the Service are provided within the Service Specification along with a Memorandum of Information providing some helpful supplementary information about the commissioning intentions of the Contracting Authority and can be found along with the rest of the procurement documents on the NHS SBS E-Tendering EU-Supply portal https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com (project reference 21467) from 8th October 2015.
Recognising that this service falls within Part B of the Public Contract Regulations 2006, the Contracting Authority is designing a bespoke, single stage procurement process akin to the Open Procedure.
