Children and Young Peoples Supported Living Service
The contracted Provider will support vulnerable Children and Young People aged 16-21 years of age who are either a looked after child, or a care leaver of the London Borough of Hounslow (including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children) unless agreed by the Lead Commissioner.
The Council is seeking to develop strategic partnerships with Provider that are: • Sector leaders in young peoples and young parent's supported accommodation provision with a thorough understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable young people, access to significant expertise, and knowledge of evidence informed best practice. • Capable of carrying out the Landlord responsibilities alongside the support delivery requirements simultaneously, and meeting their own leaseholder obligations, ensuring buildings are maintained to a high standard, are homely and that repairs are carried out promptly. • Reputable, responsive, and responsible employers committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining a high quality and diverse workforce. • Values led with a mission, purpose, and ethos aligned to those of the London Borough of Housing. • Where specified in supplementary specifications, are Ofsted registered to meet the needs of 16-17-year-olds in the service and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Able to add value to provision to enrich the service offer for children and young people, including through attracting additional external funding. • Are financially sustainable with robust governance and business continuity arrangements. • Committed to developing positive partnerships at local, regional, and national level to benefit children and young people, including with housing associations to support move on to independence.
