Energy and Emissions Scenarios

BEIS is looking for a contractor or contractors to • Identify potential future step changes in technologies and/or social processes such as: the way we live, work or travel that would have a material impact on the future UK greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trajectory. • Provide an initial quantification of the potential scale of the change and the timescale over which it might occur. • Consult on the potential changes and quantification to obtain views on how likely the changes are to occur and/or be important, whether there are other changes that are equally or more likely to be important and on the quality of the proposed initial quantification. • Revise the list of step changes and their quantification to take account of feedback from the consultation and from BEIS.

Provide a final list of plausible quantified step stages and an associated narrative.
