The brief

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority approved a proposal to construct a new state of the art Fire, Ambulance and Police Emergency Services Hub at the West Ashlands site in Buckinghamshire.

It will be a base for Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service to work together more effectively for the benefit of the local area.

In line with the UK Government BIM strategy this tender exercise and the construction process will be delivered through the Building Information Modelling (BIM) procedure.

The final result of this process will allow the Authority to use the ‘Model’ upon completion for the day to day management of the completed site.

The tender process will be a two stage restricted procedure.

As a works contract, the PAS91 PQQ will be used for stage one.

This will be an electronic procurement process carried out within the In Tend e-procurement portal.
