The brief

Natural England contribution to a CSF catchment partnership with YDNPA. .

The partnership project will delivery Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) activities in the Countryside Stewardship high water priority areas that fall within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The project will provide training and advice to farmers and farm advisers in the target area on farm practices plus support via Countryside Stewardship land management options and capital grants for infrastructure improvements to reduce diffuse water pollution from agriculture (DWPA).

This will extend the farmer training programme and Capital Grants Scheme under Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) delivered through Catchment Sensitive Farming Officers in priority catchments.

This is a partnership with key local partners in the catchment who have common objectives as CSF to reduce DWPA.

The partners will lead on delivery of the project with the Yorkshire Dales National Park providing 3 catchment officers (part-time on project) and commissioning the contracted advice visits.

The Natural England contribution will be used for contracted advice delivery and some direct delivery costs.
