HEALTHCARE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PARTNERSHIP
National Clinical Cardiac Audit Market Engagement Event
The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is working with NHS England to commission a new contract for the National Clinical Cardiac Audit programme (NCCA).
HQIP commissions the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) on behalf of NHS England and the devolved nations.
The Programme comprises around 40 projects, including the National Clinical Cardiac Audit (NCCA) programme which currently encompasses the following six areas: heart failure, myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary interventions, heart rhythm management, adult cardiac surgery, and congenital heart disease.
National comparative clinical audit is an improvement approach used to find out if healthcare is being provided in line with standards.
It lets care providers and patients know where their service is doing well, and where there could be improvements.
Building on the achievements of the current audits, HQIP will now be recommissioning the NCCA programme to continue to support quality improvement in cardiac care.
You are invited to an exciting market engagement and partnership building session on Wednesday 29June 2016.
The event offers an opportunity to meet commissioners and gain an insight into the future of cardiac audits.
As well as prime contractors, this event is also for those looking to partner or subcontract with another provider on one or more element/s of the audit programme – whether that be IT provision or quality improvement.
The event will include good opportunities for providers to network and the aim is to support new partnerships that deliver a diverse, inclusive and responsive network of provision prior to the beginning of the competitive process in June 2016.
This event is for all organisations with an interest in improving cardiac health and wellbeing by audit: from clinicians to IT providers.
