The brief

Behavioural insights to improve recycling in Kent.

The overarching aim is to change recycling behaviours in Kent for the better, embedding positive habits for the long term and ensuring that Simpler Recycling and EPR can be successfully delivered across Kent.

This includes: • Increasing capture of dry mixed recycling (DMR) and food waste. • Improving accuracy and reducing contamination. • Targeting behaviour change in challenging settings, such as flats and communal properties.
