MARKET ENGAGEMENT NOTICE FOR PROVISION OF BIO-CNG FILLING STATION AND GAS SUPPLY FOR THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN The London Borough of Camden wishes to explore a range of options including potential infrastructure upgrades at Camden Council Fleet hub based at York Way Depot (Freight Lane, 7 York Way, London, N1C 4BE) to enable the Council to meet its objective of reducing its CO2 emissions.
The site is owned by the council and Camden Accessible Travel Solutions (CATS) manages all fleet services from the depot.
CATS are responsible for managing and maintaining the Councils fleet of approx.
300 vehicles, of which 13 vehicles use Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a fuel source.
The Council has its own Bio-CNG filling station at York Way Depot.
The filling station and associated equipment was installed in 2018 by and is currently maintained by a third party, who have a contract in place to deliver the service up to mid-February 2025.
The Council are therefore looking to engage with the market to seek information and request suppliers to advise on: • potential installation of a new Bio-CNG fuel station • potential upgrade of the existing Bio-CNG fuel station • maintenance of Bio-CNG high pressure fuel station and associated equipment • Provision/supply of Bio-CNG gas The council also wishes to seek interest and engage with suppliers or other third-party organisations who currently own and operate a fleet of CNG vehicles.
If your organisation is interested in providing any element of the requirements or maintaining any of the associated equipment, please express your interest and/or request a Supplier Information Pack by emailing helene.berhane@camden.gov.uk.
The Council are planning to hold an open day at York Way depot at 10:30am on 18th June 2024 so that potential suppliers and third-party organisation can visit the site in person, express an interest in delivering an element of the service and discuss the requirements and potential options further.
