This sits in the upper-middle of the Laboratory & Precision Equipment band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 9,869 valued Laboratory & Precision Equipment tenders in our corpus.
Geospatial Engineering at Newcastle University was first established as the Surveying discipline within the School of Mining.
The department has a long and distinguished history of Geospatial research and teaching and now, as part of the School of Engineering, is now looking to bolster the reality capture capabilities of the department with the purchase of a modern laser scanning and imaging survey instrument.
The device will be used for both research and teaching activities, primarily to support the Geospatial Engineering group, but also the wider activities of the School of Engineering and the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering.
The successful device must be capable of high definition laser canning, capture of HDR imagery and targetless pre-registration in the field.
Associated supplementary equipment such as tripods, carry cases, batteries, data storage and control units are expected.
Data processing software should be included as well as any additional modules to allow integration with other third party civil engineering and remote sensing software suites.
Firmware and software maintenance contracts for 5 years should be included.
The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery and familiarisation of the equipment detailed in the ITT to the University, with after-sales support and 5 years warranty and maintenance.
