Department for International Trade
Consumer Personal Care Product Usage Survey
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) was created in January 2018 to deliver consumer protection and to support business confidence, productivity, and growth.
OPSS is the national regulator for a wide range of non-food consumer products, including personal care products, and is committed to ensuring high levels of consumer protection and product safety in the UK.
As the national regulator for personal care products and against a backdrop of the common goal of the promotion of diversity and inclusivity values (D + I), it is important that OPSS undertake this work to understand the influence different demographic characteristics have on personal care product use.
Examples of demographic characteristics include age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, income, education, home ownership, sexual orientation, marital status, family size, health and disability status.
The successful bidder should have the expertise in data capture/analysis and will need to work alongside OPSS Science and Social Research teams to identify how best to proceed with the survey aspect of the work.
The bidder will be expected to engage with OPSS throughout this development.
The successful bidder, in their bid, will be required to outline how they intend to design and execute the survey element of this research including recruitment of representative respondents.
