The brief

Broxbourne Council has secured funding from the Heat Networks Delivery Unit (HNDU) to appoint an experienced Project Manager on a short term contract to lead on the delivery of a feasibility study on heat networks in the Borough.

The contract will be for approximately twenty six weeks and it is anticipated that an average of two days per week will be required to deliver this project.

Funding has also been secured to commission the feasibility study and a concurrent tendering exercise is taking place for this opportunity.

It is anticipated that the project will commence early April 2022 with completion at the end of August 2022.

The Council has limited technical experience in this area and is therefore seeking someone with technical experience in heat networks, good project management skills and the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

A project team will be available to support but it is expected that the Project Manager will lead on all aspects.

Further details regarding this opportunity can be found in the tender documents available for download from Supply Hertfordshire, https://in-tendhost.co.uk/supplyhertfordshire, the Council's electronic tendering portal.

The deadline for tender submissions is noon on Monday 21 March 2022 and the deadline for queries relating to this project is Monday 7 March 2022, all queries should be submitted via the tendering portal.
